Three Peaks Challenges

The Three Peaks Challenge is the most popular mountaineering event in the UK attracting thousands of entrants in increasing numbers every year.

3 Peaks Challenges provide our clients with a range of team building and charity fundraising events based around the National 24 Hour 3 Peaks Challenge. However, there is much media coverage about the environmental impact of this event and the effect on local communities due to the high volume of traffic on the mountains. As a result, we operate a small group policy specifically designed to minimise the environmental impact of this increasingly popular event.

Click here to see Jan 09 issue of TGO magazine where we feature in ‘The Big Debate’.

We are geared towards the smaller to intermediate group size and our average group is typically around 8-24 participants. However, we can also accommodate larger numbers with split teams and alternative routing solutions to minimise the environmental impact.

3 Peaks Challenges offer a highly personal service providing quality all-inclusive packages for this challenging event or transport only options for self-organising groups. We can also offer 'Ladies Only' events and training weekends based in the Lake District.

Brand New for Late 2010 and 2011 Season

In response to wide ranging customer demands we have revamped our 3 Peaks Challenges and now offer a number of tailor-made options to fit the specific needs of different groups.

3 Peaks Challenge Options

Choose from one of the following options which best suits your requirements:

  • Budget Price – for cost conscious private groups and charity fundraising organisations
  • Premium Quality – for corporate groups and more discerning private groups
  • Transport Only – for groups organising the different apsects of the event themselves
  • 3 Peaks Over 3 Days –  for those who want to do the event at a slower pace which allows them to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery
  • Winter 3 Peaks (can be done as budget or premium package) – for the more experienced walkers or those up for a more hardcore challenge

All of the above events can be structured to individual requirements . Choose your own difficulty level by selecting one of the following options below:

Option 1

  • 24 Hour Challenge Ascent and Descent – climb and return to vehicle on all 3 peaks within the 24 hours, includes all eating, toilet stops and driving time. There’s no time to waste with this one so make sure you’ve done your training!

Option 2

  • 24 Hour Challenge Summit to Summit – finish the event on the last summit to take the pressure off slightly. We know getting to the top is the hard part so why have to hurry to get back down as soon as you’ve reached the summit. Gives you time to bask in the glory of your achievement!

Option 3

  • 14 Hour Challenge – Get judged on the walking part of the challenge only. The time will be counted for each peak as you set off walking and stopped once you finish each descent. This then allows for 10 hours of driving time between the peaks but does not take into account any unforeseen delays such as traffic congestion or road accidents.
